Ozark Mission Project Neighbors
OUR NEIGHBORS
At Ozark Mission Project, we lovingly use the term “neighbor” in reference to homeowners who have a need. Jesus said to love our neighbors as ourselves, so we put that love into action by completing these beautification and accessibility projects for our neighbors.
Projects OMP can do:
Ozark Mission Project has a specific range of work that we can do since we utilize youth volunteers for the majority of our projects. Please only apply if the work you are requesting is one of the projects we can do.
Wheelchair Ramps
Deck Repairs
Handrail Installation
Exterior Stair Repair and Replacement
Exterior House Painting
Yardwork
Before and After
Home repair and beautification projects are completed by a group of volunteers who desire to do hands-on work to serve neighbors in Arkansas. The plans and safety of a project are developed by a trained adult staff or volunteer.

How to apply:
Complete our Online Neighbor Application. Deadline is May 1, 2025, but priority may be taken for earlier applications.
A team member will reach out to schedule an assessment visit to determine if our volunteers would be able complete your project and to take measurements and photos of the project site.
You will receive a call to notify you on the status of your request after the assessment visit. If accepted, you will be notified and provided with a project date. If declined, you will be notified and provided with an explanation. If your request is not accepted due to lack of labor or time, it will remain on our wait list until we are able to assist unless you notify us that the request is no longer needed.
If you have questions you may call 501.664.3232 and leave a message. We will get back to you.
We seek to empower our neighbors
On the surface, the benefit is purely physical – a wheelchair ramp, a porch repaired, a house painted, a lawn mowed. However, the impact is deep and lasting: an individual is able to safely get in and out of their home; a family has a renewed sense of pride in their home’s appearance; a retiree can sit safely on their repaired porch. And the biggest impact is the relationship built among our community of volunteers and our neighbors.

-
Ozark Mission Project (OMP) began in 1986 with the desire to utilize volunteers from all over Arkansas and the country to engage directly with communities located across Arkansas. The hope was to meet the needs of individuals and families in Arkansas, our neighbors, through the completion of beautification and accessibility projects such as wheelchair ramps, painting, minor construction repair and yard work all while forging relationships with our neighbors, each other and with God.
-
Minor home repair projects can range from yard work and house painting to more challenging tasks, such as construction of porches and wheelchair ramps. Please reference OMP’s “Approved Projects” list to learn what projects OMP can and cannot do.
-
No. Thanks to the willingness of volunteers, along with generous donations from the community and special grants, OMP can provide service projects at no cost to individuals and families. Donations from neighbors are always welcome.
-
An OMP representative will reach out to you regarding your application. There are several steps that will be communicated throughout the process. You will likely know two weeks in advance if your project has been selected.
